I would believe that. Marlin built those goose guns for decades but you wouldn't know it looking for parts these days.
I got the urge for a 12 gauge bolt gun a while back and decided I wanted the JC Higgins model with the five round tube mag. Finally traded for one earlier this year. Although it was already cut down to around 20". But I still dig it.
