I am considering trading my 2004 Day5 19’ Tunnel Hull skiff. Not necessarily interested in selling. I want to trade for a nice 1860 all welded aluminum center console boat.
I have owned this boat for a couple of years and it has been awesome. It’s fished all over the place and caught lots of stripers, bass, redfish, and sea trout. The motor is an oil injected Yamaha 150 2 stroke with a lot of power. It currently has a Mercury HighFive prop on it. The motor runs perfect and was rebuilt by a certified mechanic about a year ago. I also replaced oil lines, fuel lines, the rectifier, oil pump, water pump, spark plugs, thermostats, poppet valve, cleaned carbs, and cleaned the oil system, ect. I only run ethanol free gas in it. The boat has tons of storage and a radio, live well, 30 gallon fuel tank, and a Lowrance fish finder with down and side imaging. The seats in the boat were just reupholstered as well. I also put a new bilge pump in. I have a Minn Kota salt water co-pilot trolling motor on the boat but would like to keep it unless your boat is similarly equipped. The gel coat does have some cracking in the floor but nothing structural.
If you are unfamiliar with Day5, look them up. They run extremely shallow. The boat has a full length tunnel hull and a hydraulic jack plate.
I love this boat and don’t need to get rid of it, but I want a large aluminum boat for duck hunting.
I have used it in salt water several times but I ALWAYS ran it in a fresh water lake afterwards and washed it well.
