Springfield M1, has been turned into a hunting rifle. Great project for restoration. Serial dates it as a March 1945 rifle with 3/45 barrel. Bolt has correct numbers for a war time rifle. Receiver is marked SA-52 which means it was factory rebuilt in 1952 but apparently kept the original barrel and not swapped like many others.
**No original rear site**. Rifle was fitted with a small rear set set forward on the barrel as can be seen in photos.
Visit some online sites and you can see that these rifles are getting crazy expensive. Don't miss out on this one. The only one out there for less than a grand.
