This came on my Springfield CMP 1944 M1 Garand, switched out with a SA hammer. This original WWII Winchester hammer is in original blued finish with only the lightest signs of use. It has a deep crisp drawing number, and clear mill marks; you can tell it’s never been refinished. I don’t think you could expect to find any better other than a New Old Stock example.
I fired 8 rounds with it to check rifle function before switching it out; functioned perfectly.
