So with the modified barrel its a 450 Alaskan correct?

The gun is a 348 Winchester. The extra Barrell is 45 Cal.

450 Alaskan was my assumption as well since that was pretty much the only "45 Cal" cartridge Model 71s were converted to.

One does wonder though. They are a simplified but also improved version of the Browning 1886 action and are regarded as the bar none smoothest operating lever actions ever made.
