Vintage solid brass ships porthole with four dog bolts. Stunning!
Probably from the 1930’s, this is in absolutely beautiful condition, and still functional.
The hinge on the porthole bears the number “63.” Not sure yet what this designates, but if I find out anything, I’ll include it in the description.
Overall diameter: almost 19” Diameter of glass: 14” Thickness: 6” including dog bolts Weight: Approx. 45 lbs.
$500
Cash only preferred. May accept cash plus silver, depending on your TV.
Also for sale is the end table on which the porthole is resting: Inside the drawer reads, “Nathan Hale Country River Furniture, Inc. Amesbury, MA.”
Coffee table has scratches and imperfections, but it is solid wood, stout and serviceable. It would benefit from a refinishing, and I believe it’s worth it.
For now it’s great as a catch all, for holding the porthole (does have a nautical look to it, imho), and no tears are shed if it receives another scratch.
Dimensions: Approx. 28” x 18” x 22.25” tall. The ships porthole runs over its side by about an inch. Once you buy the porthole, this is yours to negotiate (for cheap). Otherwise, $55 separately. Cash only.
