I have never seen a model 788 with a stock like this. The gun is as close to mint as I believe one can be. I shot it on New Year’s Day and it’s extremely accurate. Don’t know the round count but I put 10 thru it. Don’t need to get rid of it but also don’t have to keep it. I like Ruger no 1’s, lever guns, Browning/Winchester high walls, Ruger m77’s. No synthetic stocks or stainless steel
