Is there an upper rail to mount a scope on...? I have a SCAR 17 decked out but don't want to drop another 5 k in one with optics and rails.

PTR was in Ct. Not really familiar with them...

It uses the HK style claw mount for optics. PTR started out as JLD enterprises in CT. This is one of the original JLD guns that used wilson barrels and a mixture of PTR and HK factory parts. The original guns also used HK style fluted barrels.

Thanks for your insight.. Looks like a very clean gun. I have done things a little backwards... I chose my next optics for a 308 platform thinking AR platform and purchased an Elcan..

I may just get another SCAR and mount the Elcan on but Leaning towards a Lanxang Tactical here in Ga out of Conyers

It's hard to go wrong with FN. I use FN hammer forged barrels on almost all of my ARs, The only double action semi-auto pistol I own is a FNX45. Im sure you will be well served with FN, I have been. Good luck with your project.
