I'm selling this on behalf of my 90-year old Mom.
Almost pristine Marlin 336 Sporting Carbine rifle in .35 Remington. Rifle is in excellent condition with rich wood and almost flawless steel. No bluing loss anywhere, only a few light use marks that are evident in the pictures.
I don't know why the butt plate doesn't quite fit, but that certainly doesn't detract from the rifle or its functionality. I think these can be replaced with OEM pieces if you know the hole pattern, but this is the way I found the rifle in Dad's safe so this is the way I'm selling it.
I'll be carrying this rifle to the ODT show on Saturday, so if we can make a deal you can pick it up there. A fabulous rifle from 1957 in amazing shape for its age. Obviously this rifle was not used much, and I understand that the SC models are somewhat sought after, so here you go.
If you need more pictures, just reach out and ask. I've got some wiggle room in the price, but obviously I need to protect Mom's interests, so be reasonable in your offers. Low-ball offers won't offend me, they just won't be successful; but I guess you have to start someplace, right?
