Umm, Vietnam ended in 73. I would think they were still making em out of Rems in 66. But what do I know.

The USMC issued ones were old stock, pre 64 models with the Mauser style bolt.

Umm, Vietnam ended in 73. I would think they were still making em out of Rems in 66. But what do I know.

Depending on the individual and branch they used different types of rifles, but the pre 64 model 70 in .30/06 is the most iconic. Especially for USMC.
