Item Description: Nice looking Springfield Armory from around November 1940 serial number! wood has a nice reddish patina with the normal dings and dents as you can see from the pictures! this is an old Danish return as per the serial number stamped in the wood! Barrel is shiny and free from any pitting! Circled p on grip shows it is an old stock I believe this is an old Marine Corps shooting team gun as it has been professionally glass bedded around the trigger group $1,000 firm

The old serial number from the Danish government is there behind the pistol grip Also serif p behind trigger guard the original cartouche
is long gone although it looks as though there was something there but it's been sanded over the years

Is there a electro pencil markings on the receiver legs when you remove it from the stock? Some of the late rebuilds bedded areas of the stock to reuse older ones in otherwise good condition.
