Item Description: This is just a plain ol' Springfield M1A Loaded Standard, NM sights and barrel, very nice two stage trigger. Sights were tuned in perfectly to the 150gr ammo I ran with it, 6" steel plates at 200 yards were sitting ducks! A Springfield leather sling, plus 10rd and 20rd mags come with it. It's an excellent shooter but it rarely gets range time, total rounds sent through it by me is about 250 so there's a ton of life left. Consider it as a free barrel break in.
I'll probably regret getting rid of it, but I prefer magnification now and my 50+ year old eyes just don't want the challenge anymore. Scoping it isn't a consideration for me, I'd rather just have something that could easily accept a scope. I may entertain trades for other 308/7.62x51 semi autos +/- cash. I was tempted by a Galil recently so who knows.
I know the location isn't spot on to where I am, but I know there are more potential buyers in the Metro area and I'm heading through there mid week. I will be travelling through the Atlanta area en route to the mountains on March 14th or 15th so a meet can be arranged anywhere near I-75 or possibly 85. I can alter the route somewhat to accommodate a buyer.
