Item Description: it was sporterized by "the grandfather" that owned it. It had tick marks on the front end of the stock and he thought it was in bad taste to count kills and show them off. (That is the story I got from the guy I got the rifle from) so he had the stock cut down to a hunting rifle

Yeah I'm trying to get my connection in Marietta to help find a home for the grown Pit mix OS needs to rehome. Looks like a real sweet dog. But we have 1 dog and 3 cats and I'm over 200 miles away.
Oh and I sporterized a 303 Enfield back in the early 90s. Great shooters with smooth bolts. I just wish I had cut it down into the Jungle Carbine style and kept the barrel cover.
