I bought this gun in the late 80's, after the military's XM9 trials.
The Army was buying 100,000+ and went with the Baretta.
I was only buying one, so I went with the Sig 226. So did the Navy Seals!

Includes:
1 x 15 round SIG OEM metal magazine
Brand new set of Trijcon Night Sights ($115)
Original Sig box and German test target.

Valid GA DL & Legal to own firearms needed to purchase... (GA WCL preferred)

Providence From the Proof Marks on the Slide Chin (last pic):

Top Mark (Explosion) is the Proof House in Kiel (West Germany)

Second Mark looks like Frog sticking out tongue ???
Does match the slide chin picture in this link:

N stamp
"The Eagle-N mark signifies that the firearm was proofed in Germany (or West Germany, depending on when the firearm was proofed), while the “N” indicates that the firearm was proofed using a Nitro Beschuss load. “Beschuss” translates as “bombardment,” “shelling,” or “firing” depending on context, and “nitro” is short for “nitrocellulose,” a highly flammable compound used to creates pressures inside the firearm higher than standard gun powder."

JJ stamp = 1988 year of manufacture

The "JJ" date stamp indicates the Köln proof house.
A=0, B=1, C=2, etc. Except for the Köln proof house, where J=8, instead of I ...
