Item Description: mosin nagant here, numbers don't match, didn't have a rear butt plate on it or a cleaning rod when i got it, I had a spare butt plate but the holes need to be rethreaded. Gun still fires fine but locks up after each shot, just needs oiled up. I initially bought this as a project gun but don't have time for it cause of other projects. I cleaned her and oiled her up she just needs a good home who can give her all the TLC she needs to become a great shooter again, pm if interested, could trade for ammo.

When screws get loose in any wood, butt plates, door hinges...doesn't matter, a quick easy fix is ...stuff the hole full of tooth picks. Break them off flush and then screw in whatever it is you need to attach. You can dip the tooth picks in a little wood glue if you want but it has never been necessary for me.

Thanks for the tip man, it needs more then that, the wood needs work as well as maybe a cerakote, I just don't have time for this one as well I have 2 other nagant, just seeing if anyone wants to clean her up more then me

Yea 1 of the 3 carbine versions, you got the m44 russain and I believe a yugo one as well

There are Russian, Romanian, Chinese, Hungarian, and Polish versions of the M44.

All I am missing is a polish version. I know you have one you want to come off of.
