Why the transfer?
I'm not going to sell a firearm to someone I don't know that's going to be traced back to me if they do something illegal or irresponsible. I strongly suspect most everyone who complains about a ffl transfer would do exactly the same thing if it were a firearm in their name, they just want to get someone to sell them one "off the books."

I highly doubt that as I've seen too many ads requiring a transfer. You conduct your business the way you want to. As for how I conduct mine, that's absolutely none of your business.

I bought a brand new one this weekend from a dealer and had no problem filling out my 4473. When I get tired of it, I'll post it here, take someone's money and hand them my gun. But as you say, it's your and everyone else's right to request that it be done however ya'll see fit...it's just unnecessary.
