Item Description: Up for sale is my Remington 700 5-R. It has a 20” stainless steel action and fluted barrel which are factory Cerakoted black. The only modifications are a Timney “The Hit” trigger (adjustable and was professionally installed) and a Silencerco ASR muzzle brake. The one-piece scope mount is a NightForce 20 MOA. The optic is a Vortex Viper PST 5-25 FFP. Mount and scope were also professionally mounted. Other than the scope mount, everything was purchased new. After much research, I completed the barrel break-in recommended by Nosler for a total of 30 rounds,(https://www.nosler.com/faq/how-do-you-break-in-the-barrel-on-the-m48-m21-rifles). I did this over two days and it took about 8 hours total. At about this time, I suffered an injury to my right eye. I have been waiting to see if it would resolve, too no avail. This is the only reason I’m selling this rifle. I have not even zeroed the scope. I have the original box and docs for the rifle and scope. I prefer to sell as a package, but will entertain offers for just the rifle. If you prefer a different muzzle brake I’ll remove this one and subtract $75 from the price we agree on.
