I have same rifle in 45

I have never removed the scope , but the rifle has no Blemishes that I’ve seen.

I have same rifle in 450 marlin with ghost sights..blemish free..equal trade you can keep scope.....just too old 78 for shoulder punishment comes with couple boxes of ammo..never hunted this rifle just a safe king...does shot Mia..at 100 yds..
