March 13 '93 was the Atlanta snow blizzard "of the century", so claimed anyway.

For nearly 2-1/2 days.. metro Atlanta was pretty-much completely shut down.

I had a blast driving around in my Toyota pickup with 1000 pounds of concrete blocks in the bed.

I had 30-40 inch long icicles hanging from my roof-eves.

Lost all my VCR and photos of that I took during those few fun days.

It's definitely been a while since we had a major winter storm.

You can pull the historic weather data from noaa and yes it should be

The latest I've seen it snow here is April 1. That's what I go by. Nothing wrong with what you do
