In the ear as good as muffs

I was interested too, so got a pair of Walker's in-ear and they were absolute crap. I'm sure there are better models out there, and I would try again but so far a bust.

I haven't found a set yet that works as well as over the ears on an indoor range. Especially with rifles. Outdoor, some of the in-ear ones do OK. Even the ones that you mold to your actual ear canal just don't suppress sound enough to be effective indoors in my experience.

It's important to get the correct size ear plugs with the highest DB rating. I use the orange silicone plugs with the 3 flat sections . Sometimes I would have to wear plugs and muffs for some of the jobs at work.

They don't work as well as over the ear for the most part. That said, I primarily wear in-ear.
