How about a Vacuum Sealer?
A good Gortex rain jacket?
A warm wool sweater?

(Those are some of the most favorite things I've picked up and still use....)

Vacuum sealers are awesome. I'm quite frugal, so I buy meats when they are on sale and bag them into meals for the 4 of us.

Ingle's has whole pork loins on sale now. I bought 4, cut about 6" off the point for roast then sliced thick chops and put 4 to a bag.

What brand and size of sealers do you guys recommend?

Well whatever you do don't buy just one or you'll have no one to go with.

What brand and size of sealers do you guys recommend?

I don't remember the brand, but it was around $50. I use it at least once a month and I have had it for about 3 yrs. If you get one, buy the big roll of bag material. It is cheaper and you can make whatever size bags you want.

I bought these at Kroger. This box is usually $50, but they had a buy one get one. And as I was looking at this I realised the brand was food saver.
