Yes, but I think training, and then practicing what you learn, just might change what your natural reaction may be.

I do think that defensive training should use your natural instinctive movements(like ducking your head slightly and "shrugging" your shoulders) instead of trying to fight them. If you are going to do that stuff anyway, why not learn to fight like that?
