Are you using Tapatalk app? If so, tap on the person's avatar and choose "Send message to ...". At least that's the way Tapatalk works on the iPhone.

You need to be using tapatalk in order to send a pm if using an android phone

You can send a PM with the android ap. Press the menu button and press the messages tab.
