Yeah, but people get all freaked out when you leave them in the tanning bed over a couple days and it just becomes more trouble than its worth. I am going to go with some of the suggestions above.... Thanks though

Glad I saw this... Granddad's method was to clean and nail to a board scale side down- then put a mound of salt on it for a few weeks. Then oil... but most of his skins cracked over time.
