Gasoline & match=bonfire!Japanese Hornets are bad animals. I would get a full auto airsoft rifle if I had another problem with them.
My dad used the bug zappers with the blue light in it. It would kill around 10 every night. Over the course of two summers it greatly reduced the numbers in the hive. The hive was in a hollow part of a tree and even dumping sevin dust near the nest did not get rid of them.
They move or hibernate in the winters. As soon as it gets cold, we would not see them again until spring.
Lions tigers and bears oh my.Lately I have been having an issue with hornets getting on my House.
I have taken to hunting them with a Crossman Pump-Up pellet pistol loaded with salt instead of a pellet...
Normally a nip of salt and 5 pumps does it... Normally...
Today I encountered a Japanese hornet...
It shook off salt at 5 pumps, 10 pumps, and 20 pumps.
So I switched to live ammo. .177 flat nose lead pellets. 10 pumps knocked it down for about 30 seconds before it was buzzing around again dive bombing the cats. Reloaded and hit it again with 20 pumps.... Damn near split it in half but it was still moving...
So a round ball .177 at point blank range splattered it all over one of my seabags....

Nice! I have the .177 and still have the original box. I bought it in the early 90’s.I have 2 of them. That one in .177 and another one in the original box that's a .22
You think the Mrs would get mad if you smacked her on the butt with that? Clearly I don't have a Mrs.View attachment 3224934View attachment 3224935
Wire these two together, get a tall iced tea, sit on the deck and wait...
