Keith Walker, 53, ran into the W-Underdogs shelter on December 18 after a fire broke out in the facility’s kitchen.

“I was nervous as hell, I’m not going to lie. I was really scared to go in there with all that smoke. But God put me there to save those animals,” Walker said

Guess if Richard Jewell had saved the animals
he would have been accused of setting the fire.

Walker may not be safely 'a hero' yet.
Some animal rights advocates may suggest
he should have gotten 1 dog and 1 cat each time.
If he saved all the dogs first that could traumatize
the cats, make them feel inferior. If he saved all
the cats first, well.....dogs wouldn't care. Unless
they were hotdogs then they'd relish being rescued
no matter in which order.

reading some of the comments, starting the fire was alluded to. Some people aint got no time for good news they gotta bitch about everything.

Hall, thank you for posting that story. There were lots of heroes. Walker saving the animals, Hamlin allowing Walker to house his dog, Bravo, at night at the animal shelter and the firefighters. God bless them all. Happy trails.
