How hard/how much work has it been to grow those? Did you get a kit from somewhere?

Me too! If you go to the farmer's markets, the big one I think is in DeKalb? About 20 different varieties there. I bought a bunch to try...some are delicious and some are terrible. And you have to Google cooking methods for the specific type...but I like that kind of thing anyway. I remember the trumpets required a long simmer but they were awesome.

I worked in Connecticut for about a year, a couple years ago. We went to a local steakhouse about twice a month. The steaks were the best I have ever had, BUT they had a mushroom medley that was awesome. A few times, I ordered a salad and 3 orders of the shrooms.

There are many vids on youtube on how to grow different types at home. Just be careful and don't abuse them.
