It's Perfectly legal, in theory, to not answer the door if he knocks or rings the doorbell.
You can just silently wait inside your house with your long gun ready and when he breaks in, you take him out.

But, God only knows what a liberal prosecutor would do with such a scenario-- especially if you were a white or Asian homeowner shooting a black man (whose grandma will certainly be on TV saying that he was "a good boy" trying to turn his life around, and he was the victim of a racist society that didn't give him no good opportunities to go to medical school. And his ancestors never got them 40 acres or the mule that Abe Lincoln promised them.
