Although I THOUGHT I knew the story of this feud, it seems the main reason for it was the actions of two jaggoffs- That lawyer fella Perry what's his name, and Uncle Jim from the Hatfield's. Guy who shot the Yankee soldier in the beginning. If not for those two I don't think all that killin would have got to happen.
