Its a little disturbing to me that first the current administration has forced me to get health care, controls health care, and is seeking Amnesty for millions of people who came here ILLEGALLY, against the law, without permission . What scares me the most is now they want to quote "tighten gun control laws" . In my opinion this sounds a lot like socialism is being introduced a little more or a lot more everyday . It also sounds like another famous leader we already dealt with in thew 1940's that started by doing similar things. Not good.........not good at all

Wrong. Welcome TO socialism..............no introduction needed. Your only option is to get out and vote. Now, as far as tightening up gun control, I have no problem with it as long as it is constitutional. When you rearrange or take away my constitutional rights, then..........we have a problem.

I don't understand the issue here. First, you're talking about people crossing the border and then about gun control. What is your real worry? And did you the read the thread on this forum that I did entitled We hold these truths...???

If you're worried about socialism and gun control, read that thread man. Quit complaining, educate yourself, start thinking outside the box and start doing something that would further the cause of Liberty. I've read your complaint. Please extend the courtesy, read my thread, and let's get something going.

Yep we're there

I don't agree with this statement, IMO we have enough laws regulating gun ownership. What if congress passed a law and our now liberal supreme court ruled that your right to keep and bear arms only applies to muzzleloaders?

What scares me more than unconstitutional gun control legislation (which is all gun control) is the international gun ban / control treaties being cooked up by our overlords, and the UN. What is gun control anyway? "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." How is that unclear. I think it is even wrong to have GFL's and CCW's. A government permit or license is something that is issued to an individual to allow him or her to have a right that without given license or permit would be illegal. Is that not a direct violation of the 2nd amendment?

If the 2nd ammendment is to be read and applied then ANY gun control laws are unconstitutional. So I think we need to work towards restoring the constitution to power as it should always have been in America. I guess you could always just ignore any law that violates it if you are prepared to face the consquences. I think I'll support pro-gun groups and politicians and vote to the best of my ability personally. I will also exercise my rights as best I can within the laws, that will be enforced whether or not I agree with them.

Notable Quotable: tha I copied and pasted from a gacarry.org email....

Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via word or argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that's it.

In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force.

See, the thing is that the USC does not provide for any 'gun control'. The second amendment is very specific in it's brevity. I wrote a thesis outlining how denying released, convicted felons their second amendment right is not only a blatant second amendment violation, but also a violation of the eighth amendment. That was fun research, the ACLU and the NRA joined teams in telling me to F off everytime I contacted them.

No clever name, despite how damaging the Kagan issue is, it hasn't changed the makeup of the supreme court. They will still rule predominantly 5-4 conservative-liberal. Personally, I think she may be useful to the conservative cause. Her extremism should push the normally liberal justices to a more centric opinion.

As an note: We're not at socialism, wealth is still not being redistributed. We're edging on fascism...
