I picked up a new 43X from my local gun store today for $459...

It is pretty much the perfect carry gun. Like a lot of people, I have been dreaming of a single stack G19 for decades... I liked the capacity of the G19 but no matter what generation it was, it always felt like you were gripping a 2x4 or a brick.

This thing just melts into your hand, it's pretty light, you get a full grip on it and 10+1 ain't too shabby...

Are these things +P rated?

I think so, at least for now. I looked at the G43x, the G45 and G48 and they were all with the stainless slide. I kinda like it, less concern about holster wear...

The G48 was too long in the slide... I liked the G45 but they only had Blue Label models in stock for $380, so I went with the 43x and it seems pretty damned nice so far, can't wait to shoot it.
