Gerber Gator Machete

The Gerber Gator Machete is very impressive for the price but apparently it's just no match for a crape myrtle. Still not a bad deal for $25.00 and was an improvement over my $15.00 WalMart special my dad bought me when i was a teen. Oh well time to upgrade again. Suggestions on good machetes to just throw in the truck for occasional limbing?

I've beat the hell out of my Gator and never had that happen. I keep one strapped to my 4 wheeler to clear downed limbs from the trails. Whatever you get, keep it sharp.

Oh believe me like i said up until this point it was great. It was taking full branches off with a single swing. I've had it for right at a year and this is about the 6th time i've used it.

Seriously... I have an MTech... Love it... very heavy duty blade... Looks so nice, I don't want to get it dirty... For the garden stuff, I use a small electric chain saw or a pole saw...
