You may want to post in WTB section to get more responses. Also, I think i saw a mossberg 22 rifle for sale in the BST yesterday for 100. Its a good rifle for a kid. I got one for my son at 7 and it has been great.

my thoughts exactly, Red Ryders are accurate yet cost very little.

I have a Daisy Legacy 2201 .22 rifle. It has a collapsible stock to fit kids. Bolt action, single shot. I've had it since I was a kid, probably 25 years. It's in great shape. The stock rattles a little bit. But it would be a great starter rifle for a kid. PM if interested.
