Item Description: Nice 1950 Savage 99 in 300 Savage cal. This gun is in great shape. Has the normal blue ware on the bottom of the receiver where its been carried. Has been drilled and tapped for scope mounts. I do not have the correct mounts. Comes with 50 rounds of ammo. Great old gun.

Thanks ED103, I am on the fence about selling it. I need some "play money" for parts so I can go drag racing this spring. Guns and cars , cars and guns . I go back and forth.

I had a 1999 99c chambered in .308 and everytime I ejected a shell it spun back and barely nicked the stock on the top right. I had it out with Savage and they finally said it was an inherit design flaw and offered my money back. I sold it to a friend who didnt care about the "flaw" I've always wanted to ask someone with an older one if they experienced the same thing! Thx for your time

I have never shot this gun. I got it on a trade awhile back. I do not see any sign's of the shell hiting the stock on this one.

hay, is there any way you can put up another picture with a cartridge that fits this rifle- beside a 308 cartridge- for comparrison?
