M1 Garand, Springfield Armory, Cal .30 M1
"The greatest battle implement ever devised" - General George S. Patton
- This beautiful Garand has a brand new Criterion barrel (0/0 on muzzle/throat erosion) and a brand new American walnut stock. All other metal is original U.S. Government issue and is reparkerized. I have never fired this rifle, let alone even loaded it. (I bought it with the intent to shoot competition) Best part is - check out the serial number on the receiver - less than 59,000! That puts the production of the receiver of this beauty at August of 1940! Very rare to find such an early receiver - and in such an outstanding piece of American craftsmanship!

wow. nice.

I took mine out a couple weeks ago and was amazed at how accurate it was at 50 yards with iron sites.

Me too and mine had an ME of 1 and a TE of 2. They are awesome rifles, history that can be shot enjoyed and passed down. My dad carried one in WWII. When my son shot one for the first time he said, "dang Granddad must have been a bada**"
