Got a guy, supposedly in Cumming but has a DC area code, that wants to buy my Nitto's but wants to send me a check and have his "movers" pick up the tires, sight unseen. I said well I work in N. Gwinnett, can just hop over to Forsyth Co in about 5 mins. "Oh no, I don't want to do that."

He can send a check... and then wait a month to make sure it clears before he and his movers meet you in a nice public place. Maybe you'll forget all about it by then.

It's a scam
This is an old rouse that's been going around for a long time. Real bad on Craig's list.

The giveaway was that he wants them without seeing them. I've had a few people ask "well if I'm interested, can I check them out." or "A friend of mine works at a tire store, can we meet there and have him check them out." Absolutely. I wouldn't expect anyone to buy a set of tires without inspecting them first.

But.... since I'm throwing in a brick of .22, I should ask for a USPS MO in the amount of $1,000 (I mean, that's what the package is worth).
