I like the box and docs as a semi-insurance policy. Carry guns with one mag and no box, etc. are my biggest fear, that's what gets lifted from someone's glovebox.

That's why its hard to sell a firearm with one mag, no box.
Some people don't understand why.

I do not. I have a self challenge to build the least expensive, reliable firearms possible.
Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of fine pistols but my favorites are the ones I made.

If the configuration is one that you desire, and you’re comfortable with price, why not buy it?

Personally, I don’t care about the “original box”, especially for a gun that has 0 collector’s value. A P320 is a shooter’s and carrying piece. I don’t carry the box, nor do it use it at the range to shoot from.

That box just adds about 20% to the resale value. If you never sell, no problem.

If it isn't a collector gun, I don't give 2 sheets about a box and a pamphlet or two. It adds zero value to the carry/shooter, and it doesn't detract from it either.

It shows some degree of care and ownership.
And pretty much gauranteed not to have a dark history like the "no box, one clip"

None of my forearms have a dark history, and very few have the original packaging.

It’s a gun, not a tub of butter.
