Ford diesel 6.0 & 7.3

My 01 and 02 both had issues, I have two 6.0 that have been decent and one brand new 2014 f450. I feel the 7.3s have been the worst,but then they are the oldest. All I notice is repairs and if their working. Of the 01 and 02, one is running awsome,the other needs a rebuild. The 6.0 are running great,but have had plenty of repairs. The new one is awsome so far. All are f450 or f550 flat beds. The Cummings diesel in my personal truck has been my favorite,followed by the Duramax diesel in my gmc and then fords engines. I am a ford guy but I've buried several.

i just happened on this and remembered this thread.

my family has plenty of both. i wouldnt be afraid of either. whatever you find in budget and the nicest you can get.

I have 2006 E350 van with the 6.0l diesel.

190,000 miles, 95% towing long distances, and the only repairs have been, FICM (x2), rebuilt the injectors, alternator, and vacuum pump (x2).

I plan on keeping it.
