See my review of the FNP 45 in that thread. This gun is basically the same gun, chambered in .40, and just a bit smaller. I bought mine last summer, during the period where .45 ammo was getting hard to find. Since the .45 is typically my daily carry, the FNX would allow me to practice with a near identical gun, but with cheaper and more readily obtained ammo. At least that's my story.
