Today's news is covering the story of this man who flew Frontier from Denver to Atlanta with a handgun (looked like a Smith & Wesson bodyguard .380 auto)
in his checked luggage, properly declared.

It was lost or stolen somewhere along the way. Frontier airlines is looking for it, but it's been three days. They keep telling the passenger that they have no information to give him.

Gotta fly out in a few weeks to New Orleans most likely on Southwest. Any recent travelers have any updates on checking their pistols in with the airlines? It's been about 3+ years since I last checked a pistol. Any of the protocols change from one persons experience to another? Thanks in advance!
