FIXED, thanks to Ottoman!!! HVAC - Outside unit's fan doesn't spin

When mine went bad it was a bad starter capacitor....a two value, three post job. The unit just hummed like crazy and sat motionless. It had failed and bulged out quite a bit. If yours was a three post capacitor you might check to see if you got the right wires connected.

In the side panel, last one I got was from ace hardware. They actually had a few different ones in stock. YouTube search your model and start up solenoid. Bunch of do it yourself videos

Are you talking about the centrifugal force switch on the motor that keeps a capacitor inserted until the CF kicks it out once the speed is reached?

Best advice is quit screwing with it, pick up the phone and call someone that knows what they are doing

I'm fairly certain they are correct as I removed and attached each 1, 1 by 1. took pictures too.
