Value of ammo doubled, I dont think all firearms have doubled, it feels like the higher end stuff - nicer 1911's aren't that much different than they were before.

I don't get too crazy with my gun fetish and most of my firearms are common and msrp under $1000. I'm guessing those price points went up more than the $3+K rifles and gold plated 1911.
