Had this one come in that was in a house fire. It didn't get hot enough to affect the hardness, but the smoke/water/heat combo did a number on the metal. Refinished in Cerakote Midnight blue. Replaced most of the springs, since they were beyond salvage, and heat really does a number on springs. The soot wouldn't come off of the stocks, so a sand and hand rubbed oil finish did the trick. She's back ready to work again.
