Feeding issues. Doesn't wanna eat.

Recently put a new upper on a lower I've had for a while. Never any issue with the lower before. Now having a lot of feeding issues. Seems like the bcg isn't traveling all the way back. Looking for some suggestions on what to try next.

Does it do the same with multiple mags?
What is the barrel (gas length and overall length)?
What is the BCG?
What spring and buffer?

Yep same with multiple mags
16" with mid length gas system (ballistic advantage gov/socom barrel)
Bcg, spring and buffer from M&P sport 2 don't know the exact specs on those.

JMHO, but if you can pull it back with no issues, such as roughness or like its obstructed, you may have a blocked gas port or block or tube. Easy to inspect.

A check of the feed ramp wouldn't hurt either.

I think all of the M&P Sports were carbine gas, but they changed spec over time so who knows.

What weight is the BCG, as in is it cut for semi-only? A pic of the bolt carrier would tell.

Pulls back with no issue, feed ramp is smooth as well. No hang ups. How would you suggest I inspect the gas port?

Is that a .22lr conversion bolt in the 4th pic? Has this upper been used with the conversion? I've read that using the conversion kits can block a gas port from .22lr lead fouling.
