Closed the store and went home to have a drink and settle down. I told the dogs "ONE quick walk around the yard"
Of course they never listen.
I hear a "tree'd" bark from the basement. Yes the basement. No really, the basement. I have shop doors that open to the outside.
So I go around back and see both dogs running around the sump hole, sticking their noses in and generally threatening to wake up the kids/wife.
I peer into the hole and see possum teeth staring back (wish Ida taken a pic, it was cool).
Anyway, I get the catch stick
stick it in the drain hole and pull out a good 5 pound possum which the boxer grabs before I can get it clear. Five seconds later, and here she is:
Trying to figure out why the possum will no longer play with her!
Probably because it has about 5-6 broken vertebrae around the neck/back region......Goood Doooog.....
That was more fun than having a drink and going to bed anyway.
The Daschund was involved (he struck first) but it was Lucy's kill, so she gets the photo op.
