Does anyone shoot mistletoe at Christmas

I remember as a young child, we went out to my grandmother's brother's house, Uncle Carl we called him. He was an east Tennessee, leather faced rancher type that was wearing boots every time I ever saw him. We had big family gatherings back then, 60-80 family members at one big meal. I'd heard discussions about mistletoe going around and was curious as to how it would be harvested as I'd never seen it done. Next thing I knew Uncle Carl came out of the side of the house with his over/under, casually raised it up and dropped a big bunch of mistletoe from way, way up in a big hardwood. No big to-do, no cover your ears warnings, just walked over and got it done like it was the way he started every day. It was one of the most impressive things I'd ever seen and heard. That was close to 50 years ago. Don't think I'll ever forget that.

Now I know where all the .22 holes in the side of my house came from...
That's why I shared it with neighbors. I figured they would be less upset if they got some sugar out of the deal.
I made a deal with mistletoe a looooong time ago.
If it doesn't shoot at me I won't shoot at it.
Has worked out well so far.
Ok but do you really trust mistletoe?
