Anyone here make ammo? Not your standard stuff, but wildcat type.
6.5 MPC to be exact. I have the sizing die and bullet seating die and need advice and or a source for manufacturing.

For background,
This cartridge is based off of the 5.56 case. I only want to use 5.56 cases since they can handle a little more pressure.
The case is trimmed 3mm and necked up to accept a 6.5mm bullet. Primer is a standard CCI small rifle primer.

I have made some in the past using 19 gr. of IMR4227, for a 120 gr. bullet but not sure what the optimal powder and load is for this round. Will need loading data once everything is figured out and we get our max chronograph numbers.

Looking to have 1000 made
500 in 120gr.
500 in 100gr.
Target minimum for the 120gr. is 2500fps
Target minimum for the 100gr. is 2700fps

If interested, please pm so we can talk about it.

If not able to manufacture, I will be willing to pay for experience driven load data chart for the above projectile weights.

I will then take over for the manufacturing. This ammo will be for personal use only whether someone else makes it or not.

I almost opened an ammo company 2 years ago and the hurdles were just too high to open one in Metro Atlanta. BUT there are custom load companies out there on the 'net who may take on your work. There is also software "QuickLoad" http://www.neconos.com/ that could help you figure out what loads might work for you. Here is a review of the software: http://www.accurateshooter.com/gear-reviews/test-quickload-review/

You may be able to find a free demo version to see if your cartridge is listed.

Interesting combo, we will have to look into this as we have a friend who shoots a 264 Win mag, he uses accubond, and barnes
120 grain bullets in both bullets. They have a very good effect on game.

Thanks for expanding our curiosity...

Thanks for responding.
I can hand load small quantities, but am looking for someone who can make this round in larger numbers. There are a few folks around that shoot the 6.5mpc and once the loads are worked up, it might be worth the initial effort. I can supply the dies initially and the barrel for testing purposes if interested.
