Dehumidifier that works?

Thanks. Need one in my garage, where there is no central air/heat.

Debating on which uses more electricity - a dehumidifier or a small window AC unit? Main thing I want to protect in the garage is my restored 1967 Camaro.

Whenever it is really dry outside, I will open the basement and let it help out. True or not, I feel it helps pull moisture below what the machine is set to do.

Seems like someone had a Santa Fe dehumidifier for sale here recently in the classifieds. That’s the brand we use for crawl spaces/basements.

I have a Midea in the basement. WiFi controlled. Reservoir is manual empty or it can be plumbed to gravity empty.

As a safety note, I put my unit on/in a big Tupperware lid with the below. Shuts off power if something goes wrong and overflow

If you have a little extra AC capacity, put in a return to the basement and a fan with ducting to suck air out of the basement and blow it into living space, and let your main AC do the dehumidifying.

Went with a ge, price and availability, being primary reasons. Very quiet, gravity draining well, so far so good. We will see on longevity. Much thanks to all for the advice, but finances have me limited at the moment. Thanks again
