Could also be that their browse in the woods is gone or going away and your food plot is maturing to their taste. I have always heard that turnips, beets and other root crops get sweeter after several good hard freezes. One other thought, less traffic in the woods puts them at ease.
The other school of thought that they know when the season ends has merit as well!!!

after the season is over they are out whizzing in the yard and all over you car...
we need to get the deer to move hump season about a month and a half. get into the cooler and cold weather,hunting them when its 90 outside sucks......
