Decent sharpening rig

Try as I might I can't put a decent edge on a blade to save my..
I see various rigs advertised but I'm sure you guys know one that work best for an old fool like me.

wash ita(1 word) stone and oil. Learn with that and you will never have a dull knife. Gimmicks are just that gimmicks.

I think I’ve had mine about 4-5 years now. It’s user friendly and solid. I sharpen all of my knives with mine. And it gets them scary sharp! I can do all of my kitchen knives in an hour or so I think. Just buy some extra belts so you can change as needed. The only thing you have to be careful of is rounding the tip on some knives. Practice takes care of that. It’s really foolproof. Shop around for best price. Highly recommend!

I have the ken onion. I just learned young and always do my own sharpening
